Padukone hails from Mangalore and her native language is Konkani. Her ancestors hail from the town of Padukone located in Kundapura Taluk, in the Udupi district of Karnataka state, which is located in India. Prakash Padukone is her father and was a badminton player of international fame. Her mother is an agent for travel.
